Company History
Ethos was founded in 2003 to execute a quick remedy for a potentially serious ethics problem. A new designated agency ethics official (DAEO) walked into his first day of work to find that his new office was facing an immediate audit. Realizing that the task was sizeable and the consequences of a failed audit would be grave, he called the person he knew with the most ethics experience: TJ Sullivan.
TJ was enjoying retirement after 32 years in the Federal Ethics Sector, but an ethics challenge this intriguing was enticing enough for TJ to start Ethos, LLC. With the support of Ethos, that Ethics Office not only survived the audit, but they created a model ethics program that won an award for excellence. As word spread about Ethos, TJ took on similar challenges and assembled a strong team of ethics specialists.
Ethos has supported the ethics offices of several federal agencies including The Department of the Navy, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the National Cancer Institute, and The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Ethos has also assisted independent agencies such as the Farm Credit Administration.
